‘‘As above so below as below so above”

The starting point for the series was out of body experience I had years back which brought me one of the Hermetic principles “As above so below as below so above. As within so without; as without, so within”, the principle of correspondence. Grasping this principle is what allows one to deduce the hidden solutions to problems by looking at what exists a layer above, and below the problem, to infer the pattern and shadow nature of what is in between.

The vertical dimension, ‘Being’ constitutes of timeless essence of who we are. It represents intimacy and connectedness with God, holy life and belief. The horizontal dimension constitutes ‘Doing’ like thinking and doing things. It enables us to grow and acquire knowledge. It represents self-transcendence, meaning, purpose of life and self-integration.
